This patent pending kit includes a water-resistant,
truly acid-free box made without adhesives, dyes and harmful
chemicals. The box is never sealed, so you may enjoy your gown
whenever you wish. Cotton acid-free tissue paper wraps the layers
of your gown and a triple washed cotton muslin liner enrobes
the heirloomed dress as it is placed in the box. The final touch:
Preserved Petals can monogram the cotton muslin box cover with
your initials and wedding date.
Optimally, heirloomed textiles, even ones that have only the
gentlest of folds, should be re-folded and inspected every few
years. This prevents straining (and eventual permanent marking)
of fibers on the fold lines. It also allows the owner to assess
the garment.
The initial cleaning process is the same process used for the
Traditional method of cleaning and preservation. The exclusive
anti-sugar process will remove any sugar residue left in your
gown after the careful pre-spotting and dry cleaning. This will
eliminate any possibility of a caramelized sugar stain from
forming. Wedding Gown Specialists hand clean and treat every
gown with the anti-sugar process to remove latent stains. This
stain treatment has been featured in Modern Bride and Bride's
Magazines.
